Pastoral Care
At Tormead we recognise that girls learn best when they are happy and feel known and valued as individuals. In the Junior Department small classes ensure that the Form Teacher has time for every girl and can be in close contact with parents should any concerns arise. In the Senior School the Form Tutors and Heads of Lower School (Years 7-9), Upper School (Years 10 and 11) and Sixth Form carefully monitor the progress and welfare of every girl. This structure is underpinned by a well-developed Personal, Social and Health Education (‘PSHE’) programme which is delivered jointly by teams of specialist teachers and Form Tutors.
