Sales will be held twice per year on school premises. Dates of these sales will be advertised in the blue book and on the website.

In addition there will be a list which is updated twice each term. This will be on the TPA section of the website and available by email. Buyers will need to email secondhanduniforms@tormeadschool.org.uk listing the item numbers they are interested in. We will email you contact details for the relevant seller(s). It is up to buyers to contact sellers direct to arrange viewing, payment, collection etc. The TPA accepts no responsibility for any transactions which take place as a result of this selling method. In addition, by listing an item, parents are deemed to agree to their contact details being made available in this way.

Sales held at school

Details of forthcoming sales will be sent to parents through the class representatives. These will include instructions for the collection of goods to be entered in the sale. Items will only be accepted for sale if they are labelled correctly (label available on the website). The TPA will charge an average commission of 20%. Commission cheques will be sent out as soon as practicable after the sale. Items which remain unsold must be collected by sellers within 48 hours.

Web-based sales

There will be a listing cost of £2 per item for all items except blazers and overcoats for which the listing fee will be £5 per item. The list will be updated in the first week of each half term. Sellers (or buyers) on the list need to renew by email not later than the first day of term (or first day after half-term) in order to ensure that the item continues to remain listed for the whole academic year. Items for which confirmation emails are not received will be removed from the list. Payment of listing fees should be made by cheque payable to the TPA. The envelope should be marked second-hand uniform – this can be sent through the internal school mail.

The email address for further information, or to list an item for sale or a “wanted” item is secondhanduniforms@tormeadschool.org.uk

We hope that this offers parents a more user-friendly approach and we welcome any feedback by email to the above address.
