In the Sixth Form all girls take AS Level examinations in 4 subjects in the Lower 6 year, dropping to 3 A Levels in the Upper 6. However, some girls continue with all 4 (sometimes 5)  A Levels.

Tormead pupils consistently achieve excellent results in both GCSE and A Level examinations. Independent assessors confirm that their results reflect considerable ‘value added’, compared to results achieved nationally, by students of equivalent ability.

Almost all girls leave to read for degrees at the university of their choice. A growing number of girls elect to defer university entrance for a year, in order to undertake  ‘Gap Year’ activities.
