We are naturally delighted with the report which confirms that the quality of our pupils' academic achievements is excellent, that they are well educated and that we are successful in our aim of encouraging girls to develop their abilities and talents. (2.1).

We are very pleased that they saw that our girls' personal development is excellent and also very happy that they have recognised that we are achieving outstanding success in preparing girls for life as adults, well able to play their part in society. (2.8).

Tormead has long prided itself on its pastoral care being a great strength of the school: this is clear in the report and supported by extremely good feedback (2.10 and 2.11) and we would like especially to highlight and endorse the point made by the inspection team that the staff create an environment within which the girls thrive. (2.14).

For those with daughters who are in or have gone through Pre-Prep, you will share our delight in the outstanding report on the EYFS provision at Tormead.

The purpose of an inspection is of course to look at what we are doing and to tell us that objectively: we do of course note and will be paying particular attention to the areas raised that could be improved or developed: we have not and do not intend to stand still.

We encourage you to read the full interim report below.
