As part of their post examination activity week, some girls from years 8 and 9 enjoyed a visit to Hampton Court Palace. 

In front of a large crowd, Ellie Crathern dared to oppose King Henry VIII himself in a game in his own wine cellar!    Later in the week she was joined by a group of friends and made tudor sweets, pomanders and posies.  Wearing costumes from our 'Costume Loft Collection' the girls then danced a galliard taught to them by Elaria Rich. 

The year 9 group studied 20th Century costume and modelled some of the original gowns we have collected over the years.
