Elizabeth Ng (Year 13) has won the Womens Foil at the Junior Commonwealth Fencing Championship in Malaysia. This was a hard earned medal, after one round of poules and winning 5 decisive knock out fights; the semi final with the Singaporen Junior Champion, winning 15/8. Then the final with her English team mate 15/7.
In the team event, the ladies just lost out to Wales in the semi finals 41/42 and came home with a joint bronze medal with the previous champions, Singapore.
Elizabeth will now hold the title of Junior Commonwealth Champion in her weapon for the next three years!
