(National Curriculum Years 10 & 11)

Girls at Tormead normally take a maximum of ten subjects to GCSE, including a compulsory core which covers the essential GCSE subjects for most career areas, these are:

  • English Literature
  • Mathematics
  • A Modern Foreign Language

All girls will also study Science as part of their core subjects. They can study Biology, Chemistry and Physics as three separate sciences or learn a broad Science curriculum and be awarded two GCSE's of equal grade by studying IGCSE Dual Award Science.
