Class of 2004 return

Despite the rain and the wind blowing us from the horseshoe lawn into the Hall, the weather could not dampen the excitement of the Class of 2004’s return to Tormead.

Ten years later, instead of school dinners, it was Pimms and canapés for the old girls; barristers, media professionals, entrepreneurs, interior designers – to name but a few of the varied and interesting careers – gathered to reminisce and catch up on all their news.

Touring the school, the Class of 2004 enjoyed reenacting the lunch monitor job and queue in the dining room, popped their heads round the door of the staff room, and marvelled at the new Sixth Form common room and facilities “A dishwasher and microwave and Dyson hand driers!”.

In Room 2, Carrie Mash discovered the framed photograph of the school that her family gifted to the school ten years ago. Numerous photos were taken to share with her parents.

With a continuous display of photos from their time at school on the projector and the soundtrack to Now 56 (2003), the girls enjoyed supper before heading into Guildford to continue the reunion fun.

Where next?
