This morning the girls received a super set of A Level exam results, with a 100% pass rate with 90% A*-B and just under two thirds awarded A*/A

Mrs Christina Foord, Headmistress said

“The Class of 2016 has always been ambitious, determined and fun loving and I am delighted that the high expectations they and we had have been reached.

The girls have made the most of all the opportunities available to them in all areas of school life, but have always put their academic pursuits first, working in close collaboration with the staff and in particular relishing the brand new library facilities and the extended study options in the restructured timetable.

They will be the first to acknowledge the dedication, support and expertise of all who have taught them; and the staff in return know that the futures that await this outstanding group of young women are very well deserved and will be enjoyed to the full.
We shall watch their progress with interest and pride.”

Some highlights include:

  • 100% Oxbridge success
  • 70% of girls awarded A*-B in all their subjects
  • 12 departments achieving 100% A*-B and 5 at A*/A

This year girls will be reading subjects as diverse as Medicine, Politics, Chemical Engineering, Mathematics, Psychology, and History , at a range of universities with the most popular destinations being Birmingham, Bristol, Bath, Exeter, Durham, and East Anglia.
