Reception and Year 1 visit the Natural History Museum

Reception and Year 1 had an exciting day out at the Natural History Museum. We travelled by coach to London and arrived ready for Year 1 to start their workshop all about the Stegosaurus. We discovered what a Stegosaurus would have looked like and even had a go at being palaeontologists by putting bones in the correct place to build Sophie the Stegosaurus. After lunch we explored the museum and particularly enjoyed finding out how large a blue whale really is and the Reception girls were fascinated by the dinosaur eggs. Our visit ended with a puppet show where wolf stories were used to explore natural history and curriculum science.
