Digital Leaders Impress at the Annual Education Summit

The Senior School Digital Leaders impressed the audience with their presentation entitled Futurism: How will technology change our world?  at the Solutions inc Annual Education Summit 2017 held in mid-June.

Billed as the largest Apple education event on the south coast, the purpose of the day was to celebrate local success stories. Tormead was one of eight iPad 1-to-1 schools to present at the Attenborough Centre for Creative Arts, Sussex University.

In addition to the main stage, the event offered our Digital Leaders an opportunity to take part in a range of workshops led by Apple Distinguished Educators, including Drone Wars, Sphero Challenge and Media Team Reporting.

Tormead, which was awarded Apple Distinguished School status in Autumn 2016, was proud to be invited to participate at the event. The girls’ presentation posed questions on the future of technology as it relates to Artificial Intelligence, 3D-Printing, Security, Architecture, Fashion, Music and Art. The Digital Leader team also shared the results of their recent survey of nearly 400 respondents, shedding light on the current perceptions of technology in the future.
