Tormead Choir Years 6-8 sing live on BBC Radio 4!

Tormead Choir Year 6 – 8 travelled to Manchester for two days of singing this week.

The main event of the trip was to sing at a live broadcast on BBC Radio 4 of the Daily Service – one of the BBC’s longest running programmes.

The service is listened to by an estimated quarter of a million people and the standard of singing required is high. The girls rose to the challenge and worked hard in the weeks leading up to the broadcast to perfect their tuning.

This tour has now been part of the annual music programme for four years and is a happy collaboration of both the Junior and Senior school music departments.
