Tormead Old Girl’s Desolenator Makes the Cover of ‘The Chemical Engineer’

The Desolenator, a novel water purification technology with first and third world uses developed in part by Catriona McGill (Tormead Class of 2009), is the May cover story in The Chemical Engineer, entitled ‘Making a Dent in the Water Crisis’ (see below).

Catriona, the Technology Development Office for Desolenator, visited Tormead last year to give a talk about her work at the start up company. Her enlightening presentation inspired the senior girls to choose to support this year a charity which works to bring clean water to villages in third world countries.

Congratulations to Catriona and the team at Desolenator! More information about them is available here.
