Big Tormead Shout Out for the NHS

The Tormead community rallied together at 8.00pm on Thursday 26 March, joining in with the national movement to show support for and recognition of NHS workers on the front line during the UK’s fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.

In addition to clapping from their home windows or front doors, many girls, Old Girls, staff and families contributed by sending us #BigTormeadShoutOut4NHS videos, featuring a variety of stylised messages of support. Clapping, dancing, singing, sport, musical instruments, gymnastic, Lego building and bouncing were among the very many message styles on display as part of our community’s show of gratitude to the NHS.

A particularly poignant video message was received from Old Girl Christie Roberts shortly after she finished a long shift as an intensive care ward nurse last night. We are immensely proud of all our Old Girls, but special thanks and praise goes to those working in the medical profession or as key workers, supporting the country through this challenging time. Well done, to all involved!
