The girls are also commended for the resilience and good cheer they have shown in coping with these extraordinary circumstances, especially given that they have not been provided with the opportunity to prove themselves in the context of examinations.
Christina Foord, Headmistress, said, “I could not be prouder of the Class of 2020. Had they had the opportunity to sit their exams, I know they would have excelled. They still have every reason to celebrate and the university careers (after some gap years) that await will be stellar. But some are rightfully disappointed and I hope that my appeals on their behalf to the awarding bodies will bear fruit.
