Entrepreneur Success!

Shaam, a Year 8 student, has been incredibly busy with her involvement in the Children’s Business Fair.  The Children’s Business Fair was founded in 2018 by former media executive, Sam Rogerson, to allow children to launch their own businesses and learn about entrepreneurship.  Shaam was first introduced to Sam at Tormead and her business has since blossomed!

Over the summer, Shaam took part in her first Children’s Business Fair in Guildford where she sold macramé keyrings, wall hangings, coasters and bag tags.  Shaam initially took up the craft of macramé a few years ago but said it didn’t go too well, however, she tried again during the pandemic and her patience and perseverance has paid off – her creations are beautifully detailed and her talent is clear to see.

We hope to see lots more of Shaam’s creations in the future and wish her the best of luck with her business venture.
