Congratulations to Phoebe in Year 9 for being awarded ‘Commended’ in the KS3 category of the 100 Great Black Britons Competition for her entry about Lenny Henry. Out of 1500 entries, Phoebe has done extraordinarily well to gain this recognition and is one of the youngest entrants to take part.
The 100 Great Black Britons Competition sets school-aged children and young people the challenge to celebrate great Black Britons in unique and creative ways. Some of the inspiration figures celebrated included Mary Seacole, Dame Kelly Holmes, Edward Enninful and Steve McQueen.
