Lower School performers wow audiences with promenade production of Collected Grimm Tales.

‘Whether they planned their visit for months or came here on a whim, we knew that the evening will be very, very Grimm’.

What a delightful show!

Eight plays from the Brothers Grimm stories, adapted by Carol Ann Duffy and performed in numerous locations around the school site. Every space from the JCS Building to the Atrium, Library, Horseshoe Lawn and Middle Pod were designed with flair and attention to detail by some of Tormead’s finest creative students, including hundreds of handmade flowers, a golden magic mirror and a very innovative oven that burnt an evil witch!

The musician guides linking the stories together played with a maturity beyond their years and the cast performed the stories with flair and energy, bringing each tale to life with an equal mix of tragedy and comedy.

It was lovely to see so many different students come together from Glee Club, Year 7 Drama Club and from casting auditions back in October to produce a show that was magical, fun and unique.
