University Speed Networking Event

Last Friday evening provided students with an insightful and useful opportunity to explore university options and courses through the University Speed Networking Event. Students from Years 11 – 13 had the opportunity to meet Old Girls from a multitude of universities such as Exeter, Nottingham, Oxford, York and Birmingham.

Through alternating tables every five minutes, girls had the opportunity to find out about the universities and the plethora of university courses being studied by the Old Girls from Medicine to American and Canadian literature studies. Moreover, advice was given on university life; everything from teaching style to societies, as well as tips on university applications and CVs. The evening was full of invaluable information for students in Year 12 thinking about their university applications for next year, and younger girls having their first thoughts about the subjects they would like to study in the future.

A huge thank you to Mrs O’Brien, Miss Pontin, Mr Patterson, the Events team, and the Catering team for putting together such a great evening for all involved.
