Tormead students secure top university places.

Many congratulations to our A Level students who received their results today. We are unbelievably proud of this year’s cohort, who sat public examinations for the first time since 2019, against a backdrop of COVID disruption throughout their A Level years.

They have worked with such determination, effort and resilience; each grade earned today is a credit to them and we wish them well as they embark on the next stage of their educational journey.

Despite the recent challenges, the girls have displayed grit and determination in preparing for these examinations. We are particularly delighted to congratulate the 12% of Tormeadians who have secured their places to read medicine and veterinary science.

From Cambridge, Edinburgh, Lancaster and York to Imperial College, Oxford Brookes, Warwick and Birmingham, as well as a host of other excellent university and college destinations, we are immensely proud of the incredible work and drive that all our girls have demonstrated to achieve these results. With the vast majority of girls securing their first choice of institution, we wish them every success as they embark upon their first term later this year, or the start of their Gap Years.

We look forward to seeing them back at Tormead for future ConnecTormead events (alumnae.tormeadschool.org.uk).

I would like to finish by thanking our incredible Tormead community of parents, teachers and support staff for their encouragement of the girls and contribution to the successes today.
