An audience with Henry VIII

Year 12 Historians visiting Hampton Court on Monday 12th January were particularly pleased to be granted an audience with the great monarch himself during a lecture on the Rise and Fall of Thomas Wolsey. In typical Tormead style, the girls  posed searching questions, such as why he removed Wolsey from power and whether he regretted his decisions.

Their day at court included a tour of the Palace, where the girls were able to utilise the building and decor as a historical source to enhance their understanding of Tudor court and faction.
