Former Head of Art publishes children’s Picture book

Susie’s first Children’s Picture Book ‘A Dance in the Moon Garden’

Susie Darnton commenced teaching at Tormead in 1994. Although the post was originally meant to be a temporary part-time position, it lasted 18 years and was very much full-time! Last July, Susie’s first Children’s Picture Book ‘A Dance in the Moon Garden’ was published. Lavishly illustrated and written in a soothing, rhythmic style, the story tells of a small girl’s adventures during a midsummer’s evening.

Godalming Museum will be displaying the original illustrations throughout August and there are workshops and live performances planned.
