Butser Ancient Farm
Year 3 had a fantastic trip to Butser Ancient Farm to learn about the Stone Age. They made chalk carvings which they dyed green using a dock leaf. The girls learnt the ancient skill of cordage and made their own bracelets. After lunch they then tried ‘clunching’; combining chalk, mud, straw and water to make a wall. One of the last workshops was learning the basic skills of archaeology. Everyone had fun.
