Chamber Choir at Winchester Cathedral

On Wednesday, our Chamber Choir went to Winchester Cathedral to sing the service of Choral Evensong in place of the resident cathedral choir. Choral Evensong has been sung daily in our cathedrals and chapels for over 1000 years and we were honoured to play our part in continuing this tradition at Winchester. Winchester has particularly high musical standards and expectations. That we were invited back following our visit last year was a testament to the Chamber Choir’s singing and they had worked hard this term to prepare a psalm, responses, anthem and a setting of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis. The service is now available to watch for one month on the cathedral’s YouTube channel here
