Christmas Spectacular Concert

What a wonderful new event to add to the calendar! The Christmas Spectacular concert was a great success with over 150 girls taking part in a total of 14 performances. The evening began with a performance of ‘Walking in the Air’ played by the Concert Band; it was wonderful to see so many new faces joining the group this year. There were features from: Sound Intentions, The Rosen Band, Tormead Vox, Tormead Young Voices, Saxophone Quartet, Jazz Band, String Ensemble, Chamber Choir, and Orchestra; with debut performances from Senior Percussion Ensemble, Brass Band, Year 7 Christmas Choir, and Clarinet Trio.

There was plenty of mulled wine and mince pies in the interval followed by some more well-rehearsed pieces. To finish the evening, we had the annual performance of ‘Sleigh Ride’ with a special guest appearance from Mr Breslin on the whip in preparation for his performance in final assembly.

A huge thank you to all the peripatetic music staff, Mrs Ward, Mr Holford, family and friends for all the support at this event; I know many Tormedians are excited in anticipation for the 2023 Christmas Spectacular.
