We were delighted to welcome Churchill College Cambridge to Tormead on Wednesday 5 March to run an admissions outreach session for Year 12. Our Oxbridge candidates were joined by 30 students from St Peter’s Catholic School. 

Isabel Grant, outreach officer, gave a comprehensive talk on what it is really like to study at Cambridge, what the admissions teams look for in applications and highlighted resources to develop the all-important super-curriculars. 

On Monday 10 March, we took fourteen of our Year 10 students up to Churchill College in Cambridge for an ‘Insight into University’ day. The workshop covered the pathway from Year 10 to university and what studying at Cambridge is like. The students took part in interactive exercises with three other visiting schools to develop their knowledge of degree options and learn more about the history of Churchill College, which was founded by Winston Churchill.
