Clayton Scholars’ Dinner

This year’s Clayton Scholars’ Dinner proved to be a truly inspiring occasion, bringing together our exceptional scholars for an evening that celebrated achievement, reflection, and the shared heritage of our school community. The event opened with a beautifully prepared dinner, offering scholars the chance to enjoy good food, lively conversation, and the welcome opportunity to gather beyond the usual rhythm of school life.

Following the meal, guests enjoyed a thoughtful presentation from several scholars who had written pieces on the theme “120 Years Strong: Why Milestones Matter Now More Than Ever.” Sophia (Y7), Jemima (Y7) and Cordie (Y8) were awarded prizes for their work, each offering a powerful reminder of the importance of pausing to recognise how far we have come and the moments that shape who we become.

The evening concluded with a captivating talk tracing the school’s first 120 years. Charting the journey from its earliest days to the vibrant community it is today, the story highlighted the generations of pupils, staff, and families who have contributed to Tormead’s enduring legacy. It was a fitting close to a night dedicated to scholarship, curiosity, and the spirit that continues to define our school.
