We have just finished our Junior production of Matilda at Tormead’s JCS Theatre. This was our first time using their theatre and right from the start we felt so welcomed by the team who were always happy to help and keen to make sure we had everything we needed. We were able to make the theatre our home for the week and were given the space and time to get prepared for the show. It’s the perfect sized theatre for our company, with raked seating offering a good view of the stage for everyone. The theatre is kitted out with a lighting rig and desk and soundboard. The slight challenge is the narrow wings on each side, but that just meant having to be a bit creative with some bits of set and staging. The dressing rooms are lovely and big. The staff really made us feel at home at the JCS and we look forward to returning in October and for future shows beyond.

We’ve hired both indoor nets and outdoor cricket pitches from Tormead this year and have been very impressed. The new nets in the sports hall are great and excellent value compared to other local facilities. We’ll definitely be looking to hire them again in the future.
