The annual House Music Competition returned on the last day of the Spring Term. Pupils and staff embraced the glitter and energy of this year’s theme which was ‘Disco’. The competition featured both a whole house song and small group number with instrumental accompaniment, showcasing their impressive musical talent, teamwork and enthusiasm. From energetic choreography to strong vocal performances, the standard was incredibly high.

Nelson brought energy and fun to the stage with performances of ‘Le Freak’ and ‘Footloose’. Nightingale entertained the crowd with lively versions of ‘Hung Up’ and ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’. Livingstone also impressed with renditions of ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ and ‘Blame It on the Boogie’.

Wellington were crowned this year’s champions after impressing the judges with powerful performances of ‘I Will Survive’ and ‘Dancing on My Own’. Their confidence, stage presence and polished presentation earned them the top spot.

The day was a tremendous success and a wonderful celebration of music, creativity and house spirit. Congratulations to all pupils and staff involved for their hard work and dedication, and especially to Wellington House on their well-deserved victory.
