Tormead’s annual Jazz and Pop Night 2026 proved to be a truly wonderful evening of music, showcasing the incredible talent and dedication of our pupils across all age groups. The programme featured an inspiring range of performances from the Prep Jazz Band, Jazz Band, Senior String Ensemble, Brass Group, Das Rosen Band, and the Saxophone Quartet, along with a number of outstanding soloists accompanied by the ever-stylish house band.

The atmosphere was electric throughout, with each ensemble bringing their own flair and energy to the stage. From smooth jazz classics to upbeat pop favourites, the night demonstrated the breadth of musical skill nurtured at Tormead.

The evening built to a scintillating finale, as over 50 musicians joined together for a spectacular performance of Diamonds and Pearls by Prince — a fitting end to a night brimming with rhythm, harmony, and joy.

The standard of performance was exceptionally high from every participant, and everyone involved should feel immensely proud. The event was not only a celebration of musical excellence but also a testament to the vibrant creative spirit that thrives within the Tormead community.
