During Activity Week, a group of students set off on a fantastic language trip to Valencia. From the moment we stepped off the plane, we were immersed in Spanish life—staying in a hotel near the city, taking part in language lessons, and trying out our GCSE Spanish in real-life situations. Highlights of the trip included exploring the Oceanogràfic center and Bioparc, dancing at a salsa class, and learning to make traditional paella together. We also enjoyed shopping in the city centre and local markets and relaxing with evening dinners by the beach. It was a brilliant opportunity to experience Spanish culture first-hand and build confidence in using the language beyond the classroom.
