Livingstone Charity Day

Friday 15th November marked the first charity day of the year. Livingstone supported the Anti-bullying Alliance, a unique coalition of organisations and individuals, working together to achieve a vision to stop bullying and create safer environments in which children and young people can live, grow, play and learn. Livingstone’s yellow shone through the grey weather with staff and pupils donning their yellow outfits.

As is tradition, there was a break time bake sale with a wide selection of cakes, cookies and brownies. During lunchtime the students created a ‘positive message’ wrist band for one of their friends and these were delivered to their friends by Sixth Formers during periods 5 and 6.

Finally, to raise awareness of bullying, we encouraged everyone at school to wear ‘odd socks’ which was a fun way to express themselves and their individuality. In addition, during house meeting time, we asked our pupils to design their unique odd socks.

Thank you to everyone who helped to make this day successful.

Congratulations to Jessica in Year 11, for wearing yellow, top to bottom.
