We were delighted to welcome nearly 300 attendees to our biggest ever Career Networking evening on 16th October. Pupils and parents from schools including Guildford County, George Abbot, RGS Guildford, St Peter’s and Weydon (Farnham) met with 36 speakers across seven rooms to hear about their career pathways in sectors including business, finance, medicine, veterinary and STEM. In our two STEM rooms, students heard about space strategy, defense drones, sustainability, AI, entomology, aviation and fire safety engineering. Barristers, solicitors and in-house lawyers discussed court cases, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and employment law across two rooms. Students with an interest in risk, banking, accountancy, entrepreneurship, and corporate finance listened to a range of fascinating career pathways in our finance and business rooms. We welcomed hospital consultants with specialisms including oncology and surgery alongside a GP, an optometrist and equine veterinarian in our medicine and veterinary room. We are grateful to our fantastic parent and alumnae community who gave up their time to share their experiences and impart their knowledge at what was a varied and informative evening.
