Congratulations to our new incoming Head Girl Team of Emilia & Nia (Head Girls) and Lily & Anna (Deputy Head Girls).

Our Head Girl team are elected annually and serve from March to December. They play an essential role within the school community, acting as an important bridge between students and the teaching body, as well as organising and supporting school events. They are ideal role models for our pupils and represent the very best of Tormead School.

Mr Boyd thanked the outgoing Head Girl team for all their hard work over the past year: “I have been so grateful for the efforts of this year’s Head Girl Team (HGT). They are an exceptionally talented group of young women who have worked publicly and behind the scenes to support the school community during their year in office.”

“As a larger HGT than in previous years, they represented the pupil body with passion and enthusiasm and introduced new initiatives to connect with younger peer groups, to understand their needs within the school. One of the items that they should be very proud of is the HGT post box, through which feedback has flowed and special praise postcards for pupils and staff have been submitted. This simple idea has had a powerful and positive impact on those who have received these cards. They have also been a strong council of advisors to me over the year: respectful but always ready to challenge and give their perspective, in a manner that exemplified the values we embrace as a school,” said Mr Boyd.
