It was fantastic to see such a strong turnout for our annual Parent and Daughter Cricket and Tennis events, with 45 families taking part across both sports.

At Urnfield, three mixed teams—comprising Tormead cricketers, family members and some brave staff—competed in a fast-paced, 8-over hardball round-robin tournament. The matches were thrilling, competitive, and played in excellent spirits throughout. With over 40 players involved, the event was a real celebration of the enthusiasm and engagement for cricket within the Tormead community. After three exciting fixtures, Team 1, captained by Mr Johnson and Gracie, emerged victorious, remaining unbeaten across all their games.

Meanwhile, back at school, Mrs Fellowes-Freeman and our Head of Tennis, Mr Lane, hosted nearly 20 family pairings in a fun and well-contested tennis tournament. Each Tormead tennis player was joined on court by a family member, and the standard of play was impressive throughout. Like the cricket, the tennis matches were played with great energy and sportsmanship. Congratulations go to Ellie S (Y10) and her father, who were crowned champions.
