Performance Poet makes a return visit
Performance poet Adisa returned to take our Assembly this morning and gave the girls a 20 minute roller coaster poetry performance.
Adisa had visited us on National Poetry Day when he led workshops with the Year 9 girls, who enjoyed his renditions of many of his poems, a question-and-answer session, and coming up with their own ideas for poetry.
Adisa “the Verbalizer” likes to play with words, and introduced all his sessions with his latest rap-poem about the magic of words. His most popular poem was perhaps 1st Love, about the loneliness of unrequited love:
Like snow without white
Like a story without end.
Like Jazz without Dizzy
Like a spring with no bend
.
