The Engineering club don their hard hats
Tormead welcomed the builders to the senior school site in July and since then the construction of new art rooms, an extension to the Sixth Form area, a new Year 11 Common Room and a mezzanine balcony in the main hall have continued to grow before our eyes.
The site manager invited the Engineering Club to view the architects plans; he described the foundations that had been laid in the holidays to support the enormous steel structure which form the skeleton of the new buildings and he explained the importance of logistics planning to ensure that the building is delivered on time.
The girls will continue to have the opportunity to investigate the building as it develops – watch this space!
