Our annual art exhibition showcased the outstanding work of our GCSE and A Level Art students, as well as our Art Scholars from Year 7 to Upper Sixth.  The private view evening buzzed with excitement and pride as students and guests were delighted by the beautiful works of art.  The diverse nature of artwork exhibited reflected the creativity of this year’s cohort, from intricate paper-cut garments to mesmerising painted portraits, latex gowns and expressive installation pieces, the exhibition was a visual feast.

We were honoured to have the ceramic artist and Tormead alumna, Ellie Argent, as our guest judge for the exhibition. She awarded Heather (Y11) first prize for her painting, with a special mention to one of our Year 7 Art Scholars, Maria.

Mrs Merry, Head of Art and Textiles commented: “I am super proud of all the students.  It has been a delight to work with individual girls to find their creative confidence and, for some their true passion for the subject, leading to further artistic study at higher education and a new of cohort of girls studying art with us at Sixth Form.”
