Tormead celebrates A Level success

I am so proud of the outstanding A Level results achieved by our Upper Sixth students this year. With almost a third of the year group being awarded straight A/A* grades and students securing courses at top UK and international universities, as well as all our medicine and Oxbridge offer holders achieving their places, we wish the class of 2024 all the very best for a bright future.

As we share in their celebration of success, I reflect on a summer in which many of us have enjoyed the spectacle of the Olympic games in Paris and seeing in action those Olympic values of excellence, friendship and respect. I would like to thank our Upper Sixth students for displaying those same values over their time at Tormead, with the individual grades they have achieved representing years of hard work, effort and resilience. As we celebrate the end of the A Level process today, we know that it is as much the journey to this point, that is important; the friendships forged that will last into university life and beyond, the memories made on school trips, the sports field and on the stage, and of course, the values that our pupils will carry from Tormead. Well done girls!

I would also like to thank our wonderful teaching and pastoral staff who have supported the students during their Sixth Form studies as well as our fantastic Sixth Form team.
