The Tormead Sports Awards dinner, held at the Mandolay Hotel last weekend, was a resounding success, celebrating the dedication and achievements of our talented athletes. We extend heartfelt thanks to the 250 athletes and family members who attended the evening.

We are immensely grateful to the Mandolay Hotel for their exceptional hospitality and exquisite food. The venue provided the perfect backdrop for an evening of sporting celebration and reflection, ensuring everyone felt welcomed and appreciated.

A highlight of the evening was the inspiring speech by Sue Anstiss MBE, who addressed the room on the pressing issue of gender inequalities in sport. Her insights and passion resonated deeply with all attendees, encouraging us to continue striving for equality and inclusivity in our sporting endeavours.

Our fundraising games on the evening were remarkably successful, raising substantial funds to support the development of our sports facilities. This is testament to the support and commitment of our sports community, ensuring that our athletes have access to top-tier resources and training environments.

The evening culminated in the presentation of commendations, colours and awards. These accolades recognised the exceptional performances, dedication, and sportsmanship of over 100 athletes across 12 sports! Congratulations to all the winners for their outstanding achievements.
