Team ACES had a wonderful day visiting Amazon’s Head Office as part of their prize for winning the Amazon Web Services National competition.  Their visit started with a tour of the Head Office where they visited different departments including Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Music, Twitch recording and Amazon Studios.  

After a wonderful lunch that included some mini golf in the cafeteria, there were talks from the interns and apprentices. A talk about chat bots and how they are used and programmed gave the students an insightful introduction to Artificial Intelligence.  This was followed by a talk from an intern with Amazon Games and another talk from an Accounts Manager at Amazon Fashion. The visit allowed these Year 9 pupils to see the many roles that are available in a tech company for women and was thoroughly enjoyed by them all.
