Year 11 & 12 Work Experience

The Year 11s completed their work experience on 26, 27 and 28 June. Fantastic placements took place at local businesses including the Yvonne Arnaud, Guildford Chambers, Pond Meadow School, Guildford Shakespeare Company, Barnardo’s, Tillingbourne Junior School, Stricklands Dental Practice and Oxfam. London based placements included Burberry, Lloyds Bank, investment firms, corporate law firms, a talent agency, luxury packaging producers, and a film set.

The Year 12s completed their work experience on 26 and 27 June. Fantastic local placements included Guildford Law Courts, Woking Community Hospital, Stephens & Boltons LLP, Royal Surrey County Hospital, Electronic Arts, Petrofac, Grange Park Opera and Liphook Equine Hospital. Further afield placements included the Royal Albert Hall, Boden & Co, Bristol Employment Tribunal and Thomson Reuters.

Glowing feedback has been coming in from employers (see below), who consistently rated students’ attitude, communication, problem solving, teamwork and independence as ‘excellent’. 100% of employers would host a Tormead student again, so we now have a fabulous list of contacts for the next set of students completing work experience!
