Tormead girls consistently achieve excellent results in both GCSE and A Level examinations.
Independent assessors confirm that their results reflect considerable ‘value added’, compared to results achieved nationally, by students of equivalent ability. The vast majority of girls go to their first choice university to study a diverse range of courses.

Our 2025 GCSE results demonstrate the value that Tormead’s teaching and learning adds to our pupils’ outcomes. Our value-added score for core subjects included a hugely impressive 1.8 grades in English Language and 1.1 in Maths. This means that the teaching environment at Tormead supported our pupils to exceed their nationally standardised predicted grades by more than a grade per subject, making Tormead a stand-out school for value added compared to any of the other independent or maintained schools in our region.
