Outreach and Volunteering

Charitable work is at the heart of Tormead life, volunteering isn’t an added extra, but is what we do. Every year pupils spend over 4,500 hours volunteering in the local community.

Work includes nurturing primary school children, peer to peer mentoring, visiting local retirement homes, working in local charity shops, litter picking in the surrounding roads, working with the St Joseph’s Trust, help tending to the Rosamund Community Garden and conservation in the Surrey Hills.

Voluntary work benefits the local community and fosters the value of service in the pupils, encouraging responsibility for each other and the environment.
