The Independent Schools Inspectorate last visited in November 2021.
The Inspection reports, for Compliance and Educational Quality, are below.
The former is a rather dry document, but the key word at each stage is ‘Met’. Tormead strives to keep our pupils safe and provided for appropriately: the Compliance inspection judges how we do this in relation to the Independent School Standards Regulations (ISSR) and the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation (EYFS- Reception in our case) as laid down by the Department of Education.
The second document makes for livelier reading and looks at the achievements and personal development of our pupils. We are thrilled that the inspectors saw what we see and judged Tormead as Excellent in both areas.
We aim for the best, for each individual girl and for the school; we aim to live by our Values and there is much in these reports that reaffirms this.
