    English Teacher (or Acting Head of English) 

    Required for January 2025, fixed term maternity cover for up to one year 

    This is an exciting opportunity for a well-qualified, creative, and passionate English Teacher to join a thriving, supportive and successful English department to teach Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level.  Students attain excellent examination results. 

    Candidates will have a firm grasp of curricular developments, inspire high standards in the classroom, have a warm approach, and be prepared for wider involvement in co-curricular activities.  The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work harmoniously with others, including students, colleagues, parents, and the wider community. 

    We value colleagues who are imaginative, flexible and have the ability to inspire and support students.  We welcome applications from Early Careers Teachers to those with more extensive experience.  There may be the opportunity for more experienced candidates to take up the role of Acting Head of English.

    Geography Teacher

    Required for January 2025, permanent, part time (0.60–0.70 FTE)

    Chemistry Technician

    Full-time, term time only

    We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Chemistry Technician to join our dedicated and professional team to play a key role in the smooth running of the Chemistry department.

    The successful candidate will provide specialist technical support to teaching staff within the Chemistry department and ensure the safe use and maintenance of resources and equipment.  The post holder will support a variety of teaching and learning activities, including preparation of apparatus and chemical solutions for practical work, and ensuring the safe and efficient running of the prep room.

    The successful candidate will have experience of working within a laboratory environment and have a solid understanding of health and safety best practice.  Qualifications in handling chemicals safely and/or first aid would be considered favourably, or a willingness to undergo relevant training.  Candidates will have excellent interpersonal skills and be administratively highly efficient, with a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently coupled with a collaborative team approach.

    This is a full-time position, working from 7.45am until 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, during the School’s term time.  We offer an excellent and friendly working environment, and our benefits package includes a competitive salary, free lunches when school is in session and free use of the school gym and onsite parking.

    JD – Chemistry Technician

     

    Lunchtime Supervisors (Prep)

    Required ASAP

    Monday to Friday – 11.30am-1.30pm Term Time Only

    We are looking to appoint a number of lunchtime supervisors to supervise the pupils in our Prep School during lunchtime/playtime. The suitable candidates will contribute to a happy, safe and supportive environment.
