Tormead welcomes a sellout audience to a feast of outstanding performances at our famous Jazz Night

It was wonderful to see the Hall with a capacity audience on Thursday night for the return of Tormead’s annual Jazz Night.

This has been a much-enjoyed event in the annual programme of music events for over 30 years and made a welcome return after the pandemic.

This year it also came with hot food in the form of a takeaway curry. We listened to Senior School Jazz Band, Prep School Jazz Band, Pop Choir, Saxophone Ensemble, Senior Band, and Soloists.

Highlights of the evening included Claudia playing ‘Moanin’, Elise performing ‘Rhapsody in Blue’, Mr Press flexing his vocal chords on ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’ and the evening finished with a rousing performance of ‘Brick House’ by the Commodores. Congratulations to all the performers for a top class evening.
