The New Scholars Induction Evening was a great night of enjoyment and celebration as we congratulated the students who have been awarded a scholarship at Tormead. There was an appetizing dinner and the opportunity to chat and get to know fellow scholars in other year groups, followed by a ceremony where Mr Boyd handed out scholarship badges to Academic, Music, Art, Sport and Drama scholars. The expressions of pride on the beaming faces of both parents and students was truly the highlight of the evening. We then enjoyed a riveting and informative talk by Tormead parent, Nick Howers, who discussed the timely topic of the current energy crisis and sparked many interesting questions from the audience. It was a wonderful evening of togetherness and celebration.
