Wellington Charity Day

Last Friday marked the first charity day of the year, and Wellington house set the bar high! From oodies to onesies to nightgowns, the school enthusiastically embraced the pyjama day theme in support of UNICEF. In continuation of the pyjama theme, the whole school contributed teddy bears in a ‘teddy tombola’ which were gifted to the Prep School. As is tradition, there was a break time bake sale with a wide selection of cakes, cookies and brownies. During lunchtime the students created a ‘wall of hope’, a collection of hopeful images and quotes to children around the world suffering in conflict and natural disasters. Overall the day was a smashing success, raising over £500 for UNICEF and no reports of students falling asleep in lessons!
