Year 9 Trip to Six The Musical

On Thursday 12 October, Year 9 Music students had the absolute pleasure of seeing the epic musical Six, a musical based on Henry VIII’s six wives. After learning about musicals in the classroom, it was amazing to see one live in London. On the bus journey there you could hear the anticipation and excitement with the songs blasting on repeat (sorry teachers!).

About 100 different picture angles of the London Eye later, we finally made our way to our seats. Every single number had a different story to tell, from the slow and moving ‘Heart of Stone’ (which absolutely ‘rock’ed) to the upbeat and fun ‘Haus of Holbein’ (which was wunderbar!). There wasn’t one which lacked boldness, history facts and a little mischief. The performers and sets were amazing and the energy throughout the theatre made the night even more special. Thank you so much to all the staff who made this spectacular opportunity possible.
